Spiritual Road Map

Our bodies symbolize more than just a body

It's a map, inked with memory

The archive of every place we've been,

everything we've seen and everything

that refuses to let us go...

Our skin, the landscape

Holding stories of our ancestors

those who walked barefoot for survival

embarking strength within our culture...

Our lips, the border

Creating the languages learned,

Voices that healed and

Whispers of silent truth...

Our hands, the worn roads

Embedded with fingerprints;

the labor and creation, holding memory

of what it's like to build, to hold

and to let go without losing oneself...
