The Getting Started as a Guest Writer Program is a guided pathway into the heart of SISTAH Magazine’s writing community. This program equips new and returning writers with the knowledge, tools, and sisterhood needed to successfully contribute articles that reflect the mission of protecting, edifying, and celebrating Black womanhood. Writers will learn how to navigate the magazine’s folder system, access and apply essential resources like the Guest Writer Handbook and Article Curation Template, and follow the Standard Operating Procedures for publishing. Beyond logistics, this program fosters community through group chats and meetings, offering a collaborative space to exchange ideas, sharpen writing, and align with our shared cultural lens. At its core, this program is about more than publishing articles — it’s about cultivating a collective voice. By joining, guest writers become part of a legacy of women who are using their words to challenge narratives, inspire growth, and build a future where our stories stand in full power and color.
