Let it Go

A love note to the black woman still standing

Girl…

You’ve been hustling all year,

clocking in dreams on overtime,

chasing that promotion,

building visions outta thin air

Even when the world forgot to clap,

you still showed up

Now that’s strength right there.

You loved hard too,

gave your heart a front-row seat

to a show that didn’t always sell out

Some nights the curtains dropped early,

some chapters ended without applause

but look at you…

still beating, still open, still divine!

Friendships shifted like city skylines,

folks you thought were forever

faded into just a lesson learned

But new souls stepped in

holding your joy like something precious,

reminding you you’re worth the keep

Yeah, some goals ran late

but lateness ain’t failure

Sometimes God hits pause

so the blessings don’t spill too early

Forgive the stumbles,

the days you doubted your magic,

the moments you forgot

exactly who you are.

Take a look in the mirror

see that wiser woman looking back?

She’s beauty wrapped in breakthrough,

she’s storms survived and purpose growing

She’s proof that every detour

was just rerouting you

to better

This ain’t Frozen,

but girl you’ve got to LET IT GO

To allow your blessings

a space where they can flow
